Accessibility Statement

What we are aiming for, what we test, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Our commitment

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not as a later correction.

Conformance target

We are working to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We do not currently claim full conformance, because the site is still being built and has not completed an independent audit.

What we test

Every change to this site runs through automated checks before it can be released:

  • automated accessibility testing with axe, which blocks release on serious findings;
  • keyboard navigation and focus behaviour on interactive components;
  • responsive reflow across representative mobile, tablet and desktop widths, with no sideways scroll;
  • reduced-motion support, so animation stops when your system asks for it;
  • contrast checks against our approved colour pairings.

Automated testing cannot find everything. We also review navigation, headings, form labels and error messages manually with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and they are on our list to address:

  • The site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so this statement reflects our own testing only.
  • The homepage hero uses a decorative animated background. It is hidden from assistive technology and stops when reduced motion is requested, but it has not yet been reviewed with users who have vestibular sensitivities.
  • The product-stage carousel advances on its own once when it comes into view. It stops permanently as soon as you interact with it or move focus into it, and it does not advance at all under reduced motion.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. Email hello@forthware.com and describe the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days.

If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010.

Review

This statement will be reviewed when the remaining public pages and the contact form are released, and at least annually after launch.
